22-year-old Beibit Zhukayev fought the hard way to qualify for the Shanghai Masters, coming through two three-set battles this week. The world number 302 is targeting a first ever ATP tour win, having lost his previous two at this level, and this looks a fabulous opportunity against world number 253 Stefano Napolitano. 28-year-old Napolitano is something of an anomaly in the draw having qualified by default after Marc Polmans was defaulted for accidentally hitting an umpire with his ball with a frustrated swipe of his racket. Napolitano was a set down and knee deep in a tiebreak at the time, making him a sort of pseudo lucky loser here. The Italian has enjoyed some strong work on the Challenger and ITF circuits this season to look the slight favourite but it is very difficult to confidently pick either player to come through, Back Napolitano to earn at least a set with the momentum of a lucky break behind him but leave this match out of an accumulator.
