XIYU WANG
20-year-old wildcard Xiyu Wang beat qualifier Viktoria Kuzmova in straight sets on Monday in one of the lower-ranked battles of the first round. The world number 139 is making her Australian Open debut here, with this her first Grand Slam second round at the third attempt.
THE PREDICTION
Xiyu Wang made full use of her wildcard on Monday to overcome Viktoria Kuzmova but this should be quite a different experience. World number five Barbora Krejcikova is in a bullish mood on court once again after a few months off the boil and her two games conceded to Andrea Petkovic looks a decent benchmark for what should transpire here.
