THE PREDICTION

World number 79 Arthur Rinderknech beat fellow Frenchman Hugo Gaston from a set down on Monday, getting his Bucharest campaign underway the hard way in just under three hours. The 28-year-old won a Challenger title in Lille last month to repair his ailing ranking but he is still far from the player who almost reached the top 40 two years ago. World number 41 Alejandro Tabilo is currently enjoying that sort of peak form himself, winning his maiden ATP title in Auckland back in January and finishing runner-up on clay at the Chile Open in March. The 26-year=old received a bye to the round of 16 as the fourth seed this week and he should be considered a reasonable contender given his breakthrough season so far. Back the Chilean to edge through this first encounter outright.

TIP: ALEJANDRO TABILO TO WIN
