Two-time Munich Open champion Alexander Zverev will be eager to put in a dominant week here as he gears up for a genuine tilt at Roland-Garros before returning to Paris to defend his Gold Medal at the Olympics. The world number five will therefore be aiming to peak and maintain his level across the clay swing, on which he won his first title since a lengthy injury absence last summer in his native Hamburg, and only the likes of Holger Rune or perhaps Jan-Lennard Struff look capable of halting his pursuit of this trophy. World number 118 Jurij Rodionov enjoyed a comfortable victory over Aleksandar Vukic on Monday but this looks far too steep of a challenge for the Austrian.
