ALEX DE MINAUR VS JAUME MUNAR PREDICTION
World number 11 Alex de Minaur conceded just three games to Alex Michelsen in a remarkable statement of intent at Roland-Garros on Tuesday but clay is probably his least effective surface. The pacey Aussie successfully defended his Mexico Open title in early March, taking his career total of trophies up to eight, but he has yet to win on the slowest surface and the adverse conditions this week in Paris have slowed the clay up even more.
World number 64 Jaume Munar beat veteran Roberto Bautista Agut in four physical sets on Tuesday and he will back himself to cause an upset here on his favoured surface. The 27-year-old has taken sets before defeats in each of his two previous matches with De Minaur but the pair have not met since 2021, with De Minaur vastly improving over the past two seasons.
The sensible concession is taking De Minaur to win outright but you could consider a one-off on five sets here between two tireless competitors.
ALEX DE MINAUR VS JAUME MUNAR TIP: ALEX DE MINAUR TO WIN
