25-year-old Kamil Majchrzak dropped just two games to Georgia’s third option Aleksandre Bakshi on Monday to make it back-to-back convincing victories as Poland’s second option opener. He faces the toughest second option in Group D now, though, with world number 44 Federico Delbonis significantly higher-ranked and much more experienced. The 31-year-old has also beaten his Georgian and Greek opponents in straight sets so far and this opening rubber could be the deal breaker for qualification as Argentina currently sit top of Group D on 6-0 with Poland one behind. Argentina can still qualify if they lose this tie whilst Poland know they must realistically win all three matches. A hugely exciting battle between Hubert Hurkacz and Diego Schwartzman will follow this seriously difficult match to call. Side with Delbonis’ vast international experience here to take the tricky lefty to win at least a set as the just-about likelier winner.
