Spain vs Belgium prediction
Spain and Belgium’s respective results in the first set of second round fixtures has left Pool F up in the air with all four teams still capable of finishing inside the top two heading into the final set of games. Belgium failing to beat Australia has left them with the most to do, whilst Spain edging out Germany by two goals to one means that they have the advantage over their fellow European nations.
Belgium have no choice but to come out and take the game to Spain even if it leaves them vulnerable at the other end of the field. They’ve no doubt got quality to overcome Spain, but the latter are playing better hockey, making this one tough to predict. In the end, the value play would be to back the Spaniards with Belgium being priced as heavy favourites.
