Germany vs Argentina prediction
One could argue that no nation boasts more momentum going into the business end of this World Cup than Argentina. They were perfect in the second round, winning two from two with a 1-3 victory against England backed up by a 5-3 win over India. Tomas Domene was the star of the show, scoring four times across those two games, his hat-trick vs England proving crucial.
Germany will need to find a way of stopping Domene and that won’t be easy when considering the attacking proficiency of this Argentinian side. The Germans have kept just one clean sheet over the course of this World Cup and against an opponent riding high on confidence and excellent from an attacking perspective, it’s difficult to see them being able to match Argentina offensively. When taking this into account, backing the South Americans to take down their European opponents warrants serious consideration.
