THE PREDICTION
An intriguing clash here between three-time world champion Mark Selby and the up-and-coming Yan Bingtao. Selby may have won two tournaments this season but his form since winning the Scottish Open in December took a slight tip while Bingtao was going through something of a purple patch in the lead-up to the suspension of the tour. The pair have only met twice in competition with both having won a match each but with Bingtao having climbed the ranks considerably this season, they are likely to bump into each other far more regularly.
Selby has the experience in his locker but this could be an encounter where the fearlessness of youth wins out and without the pressure of a watching crowd, Bingtao is tipped for the upset.
