Which of Jeremie Frimpong (£6.0m) and Milos Kerkez (£6.0m), Liverpool's two new full-backs will prove the best FPL acquisition based on the numbers heading into Gameweek 1?

One of the most exciting summer signings from an FPL point of view, right full-back Jeremie Frimpong was notorious for his attacking prowess at Bayer Leverkusen and is likely to prove just as aggressive going forward for Liverpool. Frimpong racked up  five goals and 12 assists across all competitions for Leverkusen last season and has already opened his account at his new club, doing so in the Community Shield against Crystal Palace.

Milos Kerkez is coming off the back of an excellent campaign for Bournemouth, earning the left-back a move to Liverpool. Kerkez recorded eight attacking returns and 134 FPL points in 2024-25 and was also ranked sixth among defenders when it came to number of crosses, underlining his offensive style of play.

Whilst Kerkez is Premier League proven, Frimpong is the marquee full-back signing Liverpool have made and his attacking returns at Leverkusen simply cannot be ignored. At the same price at his new teammate, we're inclined to give Frimpong the edge ahead of Gameweek 1.
