THE PREDICTION
Pau have faced three top sides in a row and as expected lost to each of Toulouse, Bordeaux and most recently Clermont Auvergne in a 42-20 result last Saturday. However, they came impressively close to ousting Bordeaux at home two weeks ago and they have beaten the likes of Montpellier and Lyon here already this season. Travelling Stade Francais lost their first three Top 14 matches but they have since turned things around with four wins from their last five matches played. They tend to be poor on the road, although a tight 22-23 victory at Perpignan in the second match of their current three-match streak suggests they have a chance here. This could be closer than it first appears and it seems suitably cautious to opt for the outright home victory here, especially as Pau have won by no more than four points at home yet this campaign.
