THE PREDICTION
Bordeaux enjoyed a comfortable home win over Perpignan last Saturday to go six matches unbeaten now in the Top 14. A draw at Castres last month and an extra bonus point is what keeps Toulouse above them in the table before this weekend’s fixtures, with both sides losing just the one game so far this season. They have won all four home matches so far but travelling Clermont should be their toughest visitors yet as they come on a two-match winning run after a 42-20 victory over Pau last Saturday. They claimed a great away win at Montpellier the week before to make this an interesting tussle late on Saturday evening. Picking the hosts to continue their excellent form with an outright victory here would be a comfortable bedrock for an accumulator but Bordeaux should be able to cover at least -4 against a Clermont side improving steadily after a tough start to the season.
