THE LOWDOWN

FRANCE

France were given a little scare in their game with Uruguay last week as their much-changed side failed to hit their straps. That underwhelming effort has prompted mass changes again with a side that looks close to their first choice XV with the hosts hoping to build some momentum ahead of the knockout stages.

NAMIBIA

Namibia were on the end of a hammering at the hands of New Zealand last week and another big defeat is surely on the cards here. They stuck in there for much of the first half but allowed the floodgates to open as they conceded 71 points and their aim in this contest will be to just compete as much as they can once again.

THE PREDICTION

France’s lacklustre effort against Uruguay last week has seen them name a formidable side for this clash with Namibia. The minnows couldn’t have asked for a couple of tougher fixtures in back-to-back games and with the hosts looking to put in a strong showing to get back to some sort of rhythm with the ball, this is likely to be a hugely one-sided affair.
