Lanlana Tararudee vs Maya Joint prediction

Lanlana Tararudee produced a strong finish to beat home favourite Sohyun Park and reach the Korea Open quarter-finals. The third seed recovered from 5-2 down in the opening set before taking the tiebreak and completely dominating the second to win 7-6 (5) 6-0. It followed a much tougher first-round victory over Moyuka Uchijima, which required three sets. Her campaign has included WTA 125 titles in Austin and Istanbul.

Maya Joint enjoyed a dominant win in the round-of-16 against Dayeon Back, cruising to a 6-2 6-1 victory. That was a considerable improvement on her opening match, when she recovered from 6-2 and 5-1 down and saved three match points before beating Xinxin Yao. Joint has struggled in terms of form this season, but she is one match away from a first semi-final of the campaign.

Tararudee leads the head-to-head 1-0, recovering from a set down to beat Joint in Portugal two years ago, but this is their first official WTA meeting. The Thai player has been the more consistent performer in 2026, but Joint has enough quality to make this very competitive.
