THE PREDICTION
New Zealand will take on Australia in this opening clash of the
Bledisloe Cup with the All Blacks keen to earn revenge for their loss
the last time the pair met. The Wallabies edged New Zealand in a
thrilling contest back in the Rugby Championship back in November. That
did not prevent the All Blacks from winning that title and they have
performed well in their warm-up games, winning all three and scoring 219
points in the process. Australia have also prepared superbly having
edged France in a thrilling three-game series in July, winning the final
test 33-30 despite losing Marika Koroibete to an early red card. That
will stand the Wallabies in good stead with the character they showed in
that game and series but it is their quality that will come under
scrutiny here and the All Blacks are likely to prove far too good for
them on home soil, winning this by at least 14 points.
