THE PREDICTION
Connacht pulled themselves back from mid-table obscurity in the Pro14 with an emphatic defeat of the imperious Leinster 24-35 away from home. Whilst they are still some way back in the standings they should be able to feed off the momentum of their incredible performance as they host Conference B’s leaders Munster here. The visitors lost a tight 15-10 match with the current league leaders Ulster on New Year’s Day to momentarily take them out of the title race and they will be eager to bounce back which makes for a difficult match to call. In what should be a vastly entertaining game, the only reasonable outcome is that the result should go over 40 points with both sides no strangers to a high-scoring game. Given their recent exploits, Connacht to win a match that goes over 40 points looks like a calculated risk here but this one could really go either way.
