THE PREDICTION

St. Helens were given a huge wake-up call as they were hammered by Salford Red Devils in a huge upset. The reigning champions were comprehensively outplayed by the Red Devils, conceding 44 points in the process as they suffered a first loss in four games. They will now aim to bounce back as they host Castleford Tigers and the away side were also on the end of a woeful loss last week having gone down to Wakefield Trinity in their derby contest. The Tigers never got going and were beaten 6-32 with them needing to show serious improvement on that effort. However, Saints look the likelier of the two to respond and they are fancied to be the side to return to winning ways.
