- St. Helens were handed a 24-0 victory after Castleford Tigers were left unable to field a side for their clash earlier in the week and that means Saints come into this clash on the back of a two-week break.
- The extra time between matches has allowed Mark Percival to recover from injury to take his place in the 21-man squad while Jonny Lomax also comes back into contention from the knock that ruled him out of England duty last week.

- The Warriors come into this on the back of four successive defeats and their task does not get any easier against the side that they went down to in last year’s Grand Final with Wigan still missing a handful of key players.

St. Helens should be nice and refreshed for this clash with rivals
Wigan Warriors who have played three times since Saints’ last contest.
The reigning champions were handed a walkover against Castleford Tigers
earlier in the week with their rivals unable to field a team owing to
COVID-19 issues coupled with an increasing injury list. With Wigan
Warriors on the end of a big loss to Warrington Wolves during the week,
they have it all to do to avoid a fifth straight loss but with Saints
eager to put their loss to the Wolves behind them in the last game that
they took to the field in coupled with a long turnaround, this could get
messy for Wigan with their rivals able to win by at least 18 points.
