THE TEAM NEWS

SYDNEY ROOSTERS

  • Sydney Roosters bounced back from their loss to Manly Sea Eagles in emphatic fashion as they hammered rivals South Sydney Rabbitohs last week.
  • The Roosters were ruthless as they ran out 48-6 victors in that clash but it came at a cost with Lindsay Collins and Sandon Smith copping injuries, although they do get Luke Keary back for this contest.

Starting 13: 1. James Tedesco 2. Daniel Tupou 3. Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii 4. Joseph Manu 5. Dominic Young 6. Luke Keary 7. Sam Walker 8. Jared Waerea-Hargreaves 9. Brandon Smith 10. Terrell May 11. PENRITH PANTHERS

  • Penrith Panthers overcame Brisbane Broncos in the repeat of last season’s Grand Final as they made it back-to-back victories but this will be a real test for them having lost their talisman.
  • Nathan Cleary pulled the strings last week but he will be out for around a month with a hamstring injury so Brad Schneider will be given a chance in the halves.

Starting 13: 1. Dylan Edwards 2. Sunia Turuva 3. Izack Tago 4. Taylan May 5. Brian To'o 6. Jarome Luai 7. Brad Schneider 8. Moses Leota 9. Mitch Kenny 10. Lindsay Smith 11. Luke Garner 12. THE PREDICTION

These two teams should both be in the mix come the end of the season but they come into this without some key players. Sydney Roosters were excellent in their win over South Sydney Rabbitohs last week while Penrith Panthers were comfortable against Brisbane Broncos. However, the loss of Nathan Cleary could be too difficult to overcome and with the Roosters tending to play well on home soil, it is the hosts that are given the nod in this one.

TIP: SYDNEY ROOSTERS TO WIN
