THE TEAM NEWS

ST. GEORGE ILLAWARRA DRAGONS

  • St. George Illawarra Dragons made it back-to-back wins as they overcame New Zealand Warriors in impressive fashion last week and will fancy their chances once again in this ANZAC Day clash.
  • The Dragons produced arguably their best display of the season to topple the Warriors and it is no surprise that changes to their side are limited with Jack Bird the only switch to the 17 as he returns from injury in the centres.

Starting 13: 1. Tyrell Sloan 2. Christian Tuipulotu 3. Moses Suli 4. Zac Lomax 5. Mikaele Ravalawa 6. Kyle Flanagan 7. Ben Hunt 8. Francis Molo 9. Jacob Liddle 10. Hame Sele 11. SYDNEY ROOSTERS

  • Sydney Roosters continue to lack consistency this season as they once again failed to secure a second win in succession, falling to Melbourne Storm in a tough affair last time out.
  • The Tricolours are yet to claim back-to-back successes this season and their attempt to return to winning ways has been hampered by some late injury woe with Victor Radley and Daniel Tupou both dropping out 24 hours from kick-off.

Starting 13: 1. James Tedesco 2. Daniel Tupou 3. Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii 4. Joseph Manu 5. Dominic Young 6. Luke Keary 7. Sam Walker 8. Jared Waerea-Hargreaves 9. Brandon Smith 10. Lindsay Collins 11. Angus Crichton 12. Nat Butcher 13. Victor Radley Bench: 14. Connor Watson 15. Naufahu Whyte 16. Egan Butcher 17. Terrell May Reserves: 18. Michael Jennings 19. Siua Wong 20. Zach Dockar-Clay 21. THE PREDICTION

St. George Illawarra Dragons will be content with their start to the season having won for the third time in their last four outings as they defeated New Zealand Warriors. They will hope to improve on that record as they face Sydney Roosters at Allianz Stadium but the Tricolours will have other ideas as they aim to find some much-needed consistency. They played their part in a superb contest with Melbourne Storm last week but failed to get the win and while this one could go either way, the Roosters have won nine of the past 11 matchups against the Dragons so that record makes them the slight preference.
