THE TEAM NEWS

GOLD COAST TITANS

  • Gold Coast Titans finally got off the mark for the season at the seventh time of asking as they stunned New Zealand Warriors in Auckland last week.
  • The Titans were excellent and showed superb character despite going down 12-0 in the opening 10 minutes of that game but have still opted to make a couple of changes here with Phillip Sami and Harley Smith-Shields coming into the side while Moeaki Fotuaika is out with concussion.

Starting 13: 1. AJ Brimson 2. Phillip Sami 3. Brian Kelly 4. Harley Smith-Shields 5. Jojo Fifita 6. Tanah Boyd 7. Kieran Foran 8. Joe Stimson 9. Chris Randall 10. Jaimin Jolliffe 11. David Fifita 12. MELBOURNE STORM

  • Melbourne Storm were far too good for South Sydney Rabbitohs as they blew their opponents away to make it four successive victories and leave them with just one loss from seven games this season.
  • The Storm were outstanding with the ball as they amassed 54 points but the win did come at a cost with winger Xavier Coates picking up a hamstring injury so Tyran Wishart takes his spot.

Starting 13: 1. Ryan Papenhuyzen 2. William Warbrick 3. Reimis Smith 4. Nick Meaney 5. Tyran Wishart 6. Cameron Munster 7. Jahrome Hughes 8. Christian Welch 9. Harry Grant 10. Josh King 11. Shawn Blore 12. Eliesa Katoa 13. Trent Loiero Bench: 14. Bronson Garlick 15. Joe Chan 16. Nelson Asofa-Solomona 17. Alec MacDonald Reserves: 18. Jack Howarth 19. Sualauvi Faalogo 20. THE PREDICTION

Gold Coast Titans earned a first win of the campaign and will now aim to build on that as they host Melbourne Storm. The Titans had AJ Brimson to thank as the fullback masterminded the victory and he will be integral to their chances in this clash with an impressive Melbourne outfit. The Storm have lost just one game so far this year and while the Titans will be on a high after last week’s effort, it is difficult to see beyond Melbourne recording another win.

TIP: MELBOURNE STORM -12
