- Parramatta Eels made it back-to-back wins thanks to another convincing victory last week, hitting 40 points for the second game in succession as they blew away Wests Tigers to retain their spot in the top four.
- The Eels have also done well defensively in both of those games having conceded just 16 points and they will now look to record a third straight victory by seeing off a Canterbury Bulldogs side that they have beaten in their last three meetings.

- Canterbury Bulldogs earned just their second success of the season thanks to a strong showing on both sides of the ball against St. George Illawarra Dragons last week but they face a difficult task to that back up.
- The Bulldogs were comfortable victors as they notched their highest points total of the campaign with 28 while they backed that up by conceding just six points, the lowest they have allowed all year.
THE PREDICTION
Canterbury Bulldogs will be eager to build on a rare win last week as
they attempt to overhaul the teams above them in the race to avoid the
wooden spoon. They were solid on both sides of the ball in their win
over St. George Illawarra Dragons but this is a tough ask to back that
up as they take on Parramatta Eels. The hosts are difficult to beat at
Bankwest Stadium and have recorded back-to-back successes in which they
have scored 40 points so expect the Eels to prevail again here.
