- Manly Sea Eagles produced yet another scintillating attacking performance as they surpassed 50 points for the third game in succession with their win over Canterbury Bulldogs last week keeping them right in the hunt for a spot in the top four.

- Canberra Raiders suffered an embarrassing loss at the hands of Gold Coast Titans last week and that alarming display could signal the end of their hopes of challenging for a spot in the finals.
- The Raiders now sit in 13th spot on the ladder and while they are only two points outside of the eight, the 6-44 loss to the Titans will be difficult to respond to and they will field a weakened side this week owing to Origin call-ups and injuries.
THE PREDICTION
Manly Sea Eagles thrashed Canterbury Bulldogs last week as they
continued their sparkling attacking form with Tom Trbojevic leading the
way once again. The fullback has been producing some sensational
performances this season but he will be absent here as he heads off for
State of Origin duty with New South Wales. However, Manly handled his
absence well last time was unavailable alongside Daly Cherry-Evans and
with Canberra Raiders arriving with just one win in their last five, the
Sea Eagles should win once again here. Manly have won their last four
on home soil and with the difference in class between the two teams
evident, the hosts should win this one by 13+ points.
