- Canberra Raiders’ second half woes continued as they suffered a third defeat in their last four matches with the top eight chasing side throwing away a half-time lead against St. George Illawarra Dragons.
- The Raiders were up by six points to 14 at the break and extended that lead to 12 points but they then allowed the Dragons to fight back and edge the win which could prove pivotal against another side competing for a spot in the finals.

- Gold Coast Titans showed their best and worst traits in their loss to Manly Sea Eagles last time out as they produced an impressive first half performance to build a big lead before they were blown away in a humiliating showing after the break.
- Having led 24-8 at half-time, the Titans looked set to claim their first win in four matches but they allowed 48 unanswered points in the second half as they ultimately succumbed to what was an ugly loss and their defensive efforts continue to be concerning.
THE PREDICTION
Canberra Raiders and Gold Coast Titans can both still force their way
into top eight contention but consistency has been their issue all
season and both have serious weaknesses to overcome. The Raiders
continually fall away in the second half of matches while the Titans did
the same last time out with their defence getting picked apart by a
rampant Manly Sea Eagles outfit. There is little to separate the two
teams ahead of this clash but the Titans’ superior scoring ability makes
them appealing with a +6.5 start, although it is hard to really trust
either side with both being capable of throwing in some woeful efforts.
