THE PREDICTION
England will hope that their only mid-season warm-up game goes to
plan after plenty of distractions in the build-up to this controversial
encounter. There were discussions to call the game off earlier in the
week owing to rising COVID-19 cases within the game, as well as a full
round of Super League fixtures taking place on the same week as this
clash, leaving several clubs extremely light on numbers. However, the
game goes ahead as planned and England will look to make the most of it
ahead of the World Cup at the end of the year. They are almost at full
strength in terms of their Super League based players with a couple of
notable exceptions but the All Stars team will fancy their chances of
causing an upset. They have a couple of players in their ranks who will
be eager to force their way into the England squad come the end of the
season and with some superb talent in the spine, they can prevail with
the aid of a +12 start on the handicap.
