- Wigan Warriors produced a ruthless display as they proved far too good for Hull FC in their Challenge Cup quarter final clash last week with the Cherry and Whites carrying on where they left off against Catalans Dragons in their previous contest.
- The Warriors got off to a great start and didn’t look back as they were clinical with the ball while they also defended well, conceding just one solitary consolation try when the game was already won.
- They are further boosted here by the return of prop Ben Flower after he served a ban but head coach Adrian Lam is still without the services of George Burgess while winger Dom Manfredi drops out with the head knock he sustained in last week’s game.

- Wakefield Trinity’s miserable campaign continued as they were comfortably beaten by Huddersfield Giants last time out and they now face a difficult challenge to end their losing streak as they take on Wigan Warriors.
- Trinity have lost all six matches since the restart with last week’s defeat to the Giants and with five of those coming in Super League, they find themselves at the foot of the table and they look set to remain there.
- They have numerous injury issues to deal with and that has resulted in head coach Chris Chester naming only 20 players for this clash but there is some positive news with the return of key winger Tom Johnstone from injury.

THE PREDICTION
Wigan Warriors look to have firmly put their poor display against Hull KR behind them with back-to-back wins, the second of which came in last week’s Challenge Cup success against Hull FC. They advanced to the final four with that comfortable win and now come up against a struggling Wakefield Trinity outfit as they look to consolidate on their spot in the top four of Super League. Wakefield pushed Wigan all the way in the first game back in action following the restart but have struggled since then and if the Warriors can replicate their efforts in the last two games, they should be able to win by at least 18 points.
