Portugal vs Northern Ireland Prediction

Portugal came into this play-off tie as red-hot favourites and they proved worthy of that tag, with a professional, clinical showing and a 0-4 victory over Northern Ireland in Larne. Another win in the second-leg should be a formality for them, but it’s important for them to at least show respect to the visitors and not be complacent.

Telma Encarnacao opened the scoring and will no doubt be seeing this game as another opportunity to really impress the Portugal head coach Francisco Neto. Expect more chances to score for Encarnacao in this one against weak opposition who are fragile from a defensive perspective and in the end, a simple home win.

Portugal vs Northern Ireland Tip: Portugal to win and Telma Encarnacao to score anytime
