The Newcastle Jets come into this one on the back of a 7-1 thrashing at the hands of the Kashima Antlers a few weeks ago. The Jets reached the semi-finals of the Australian A League last season before being beaten by Sydney on penalties.
Gamba Osaka have lost three of their last four matches since they began their AFC Champions League Elite league stage with a 4-1 hammering of Vietnamese outfit Cong An Hanoi a month or so ago.
Gamba Osaka are the better of the two teams and they, in mid-season, should be fresher and a bit more ready for this one than their opponents.
