Fighting out of Coconut Creek, Florida, Tony Gravely (23-7) has been on an impressive run as of late. Coming off of a TKO victory against Johnny Munoz Jr., Gravely will be looking to keep up his good run of form. Currently, 4-1 in his last five outings, Gravely has the chance to defeat a top prospect this weekend.
As for Gravely’s opponent this weekend, Javid Basharat (12-0) earned the right to compete in the UFC following a successful stint on the Dana White’s Contender Series against Oron Kahlon. He would go on to win on his promotional debut against Trevin Jones. Fighting out of England, it is fair to say that there is a lot of hype behind Basharat’s name.

Heading into this weekend’s bantamweight showdown, Basharat will have the height advantage. However, both men share the same reach.
After winning on his UFC debut, there is no doubt that this is a big step up in competition for Basharat. Gravely is such a well-rounded fighter who will cause problems for a lot of people. Gravely’s wrestling is phenomenal and has proven to cause havoc for many. Basharat’s wrestling is top tier and it will be interesting to see if he can break through Gravely. This will no doubt be one of the most intriguing fights on the card. From the off, we suspect that Gravely will look to use his experience and assert his dominance. With that being said, if Basharat can implement his height advantage, attack in spells, and take the fight to the mat, he will may able to control proceedings and get the job done.
