RYAN SPANN VS BOGDAN GUSKOV LOWDOWN

Ryan Spann (21-9) is desperate for a dub after not winning since 2022. That was a clinical first-round knockout over Dominick Reyes. He went on to get submitted by Nikita Krylov (2023) and fall short in a split decision to Anthony Smith (2023) dropping his UFC tally to 7-4.

Bogdan Guskov’s (15-3) seesaw of competition continues. He stepped up on short notice to make his UFC debut against former title challenger Volkan Oezdemir (2023). He got submitted in the first round and then went on to meet Zac Pauga (2024) and pulled off a vintage vicious knockout the first round.

RYAN SPANN VS BOGDAN GUSKOV PREDICTION

We expect a lot of violence here as they both possess serious knockout power. Guskov has heavier hands, but Spann has much better experience as well as a three-inch height and reach advantage which could be the difference.

Spann is also the better grappler and is a serious submission threat, so he has many more avenues to victory. That said, Guskov only needs one touch of leather to cause the upset.

It is worth a punt, but Spann should control the distance with his jab and leg kicks. Guskov also keeps his hands low which will leave a very enticing target. If the fight hits the deck or Guskov shoots in leaving his neck exposed, a submission will be there.

We are backing Spann who can win this in a variety of ways, but the value play is a Guskov knockout.

Prediction: Spann via Submission

Value bet: Guskov via KO/TKO
