Nicknamed ‘The Welsh Gangster’, 26-year-old Merthyr Tydfil-born Oban Elliott comes into UFC 298 with a record of nine victories and two defeats in his MMA career thus far. Val Woodburn, on the other hand, has managed seven victories and one loss since becoming a professional fighter back in 2017. Woodburn has become known for impressive durability and grappling but does appear lacking in terms of general striking. Both in terms of speed, efficiency and technicality, Elliott does have an edge in that department with the promising Welshman expected to take a win here, despite his lack of experience at this stage in his career.
