JOSHUA CULIBAO VS DANNY SILVA LOWDOWN
Joshua Culibao (11-2-1) is coming off his first loss since his UFC debut back in 2020. That was a TKO to Jalin Turner up at lightweight. He went on to fight to a draw with Charles Jourdain (2020) and then outpoint Shayilan Nuerdanbieke (2021) and Seung Woo Choi (2022) before submitting Melsik Baghdasaryan (2023) He then met Lerone Murphy (2023) in London and was outclassed in a unanimous decision.
He welcomes Danny Silva (8-1) to the big time who earnt his shot with a unanimous decision win on the Contender Series over Angel Pacheco back in September. That made it two wins in a row after knocking out Alex Valentino Arteaga (2023) which came after a decision loss to Canaan Kawaihae (2022) – both for LFA.

They are both aggressive and technical strikers which will create an exciting scrap. This should come down to distance management.
Culibao is better from distance darting in and out of range with long kicks and punches. Silva on the other hand is more dangerous in the pocket and is very technical. The worry for Culibao is that he eats a lot of shots, especially at close range.
We expect them both to land clean shots, but their durability should drag this to the bell. All the value is with the underdog Silva, but we are leaning towards the Aussie to scrape a decision.
