ARIANE LIPSKI VS KARINE SILVA LOWDOWN
Ariane Lipski (17-8) heads to UFC on ESPN 55 with some unlikely flyweight momentum. After getting TKO’d by Priscila Cachoeira (2022) up at bantamweight, she has gone on to earn decisions over JJ Aldrich and Melissa Gatto before submitting Casey O’Neill to cap off a perfect 2023.
Karine Silva (17-4) is fuelled with even more momentum extending her win streak to eight after submitting her first two UFC opponents. More impressively, she has finished every single one of her wins adding Ketlen Souza and Maryna Moroz to the victim sheet last year.
ARIANE LIPSKI VS KARINE SILVA PREDICTION
Lipski has always been dangerous as a powerful striker with slick offensive jiu-jitsu. However, she has struggled with consistency with disappointing losses. That said, she looks like she is finally putting everything together.
Silva is one of the most dangerous fighters in the division, so a finish is likely. Although she has more knockouts, Lipski is the better striker and she will want to keep the fight standing.
Silva will hunt the knockout, but once she dumps Lipski on her back. She will look for the takedown and rain down the ground-and-pound while pouncing on a submission should it present itself.
Lipski will look great on the feet with her 1-2’s down the pipe, but it should only be a matter of time before Silva walks through her and takes her down or counters. We expect her to find the chin and finish the job on the deck.
