Luca Brecel vs Judd Trump prediction

Despite the fact he won this title two years ago, few onlookers were talking up Luca Brecel’s prospects in the lead-up to the World Snooker Championship.

That has all changed now though, with the talented Belgian having looked in sensational form this past week in Sheffield, reminiscent of his 2023 success. Brecel completely dismantled Ding Junhui 13-4 in the second round, playing a fearless brand of attacking snooker that few players can live with.

Judd Trump is one of those players though, with the 2019 world champion looking every bit the world number one in a fine 13-10 triumph over Shaun Murphy in a high-quality second-round contest.

Trump hit his 100th century of the season during that match, earning him a £100k bonus in the process, and he is playing with a confidence that hints he is ready to add to his Triple Crown tally.

In what could potentially be a classic between two of the sport’s elite talents, we fancy there to be at least five centuries in this match.
