Jannik Sinner vs Grigor Dimitrov prediction

Jannik Sinner continued his serene progress at Wimbledon as he thrashed Pedro Martinez 6-1 6-3 6-1 in the third-round. The world number one has not lost serve in any of his opening three matches and has barely been threatened so far. He’s dropped just 17 games, which equals the Open Era record for fewest games dropped at this stage of Wimbledon, held by Jan Kodes in 1972.

He will now face 2014 semi-finalist Grigor Dimitrov in the next round as the Bulgarian reached the last-16 for the third consecutive year with a straight sets win over Sebastian Ofner. He was always in control as he won 6-3 6-4 7-6, and the former world number three has made a strong return to the tour after being out for a month with an abductor injury.

Sinner leads the head-to-head 4-1 and has won their last four matches, though this will be their first meeting on grass. Dimitrov is likely to offer a tougher test than the three previous rounds but it’s hard to look past the Italian winning in straight sets once again.
