Ireland vs Spain prediction
This has all the makings of a tense, tight and extremely close contest when you consider the huge stakes involved. Right now, it’s Ireland who are second-place in Pool D but Spain would go above them with a win in this match and knock out the Irish in the process. Ireland will defend for their lives no doubt, knowing a draw would send them through and try to stifle Spain.
Spain themselves know they cannot take their eye off the ball defensively and they have been strong on that front so far, conceding just twice. Therefore, we’re probably set to see a low-scoring game between the pair and backing under 4.5 goals appears a worthwhile play, rather than backing the actual result.
Ireland vs Spain tip: Under 4.5 goals
