Getafe preview: Getafe’s mid-table position
In his second stint in charge, Jose Bordalas has recreated his aggressive and hostile Getafe side as they sit firmly in the middle-of-the-table in La Liga. They were coasting towards the end of the campaign but did earn themselves a much-needed victory last weekend.
The Madrid-based outfit when to Son Moix in Palma de Mallorca in the Balearic Islands and defeated Real Mallorca by two goals to one in a dominant performance thanks to second-half goals scored by Mauro Arambarri and Christantus Uche.
Celta Vigo preview: Brilliant Galicians
Celta Vigo begin the final day of the 2024/25 La Liga season sitting tucked inside the top seven and the UEFA Europa League spots but the Galicians are in danger of falling out of the top eight due to a defeat to fellow top eight competitors Rayo Vallecano last weekend.
Celta took the lead against Rayo at Balaidos in Galicia last week thanks to a tenth minute penalty scored by former Bolton Wanderers left-back Marcos Alonso. However, they found themselves behind at half-time via goals from Isi Palazon and Jorge de Frutos.

Getafe vs Celta Vigo prediction
Getafe have been able to achieve a mid-table finish with a narrow and limited squad due to their aggressive and defensive style of football. They make things difficult for the opposition and have managed to score just 33 goals in 37 games with only Valladolid having scored fewer than them. Celta, in contrast, are a lot more progressive and attacking and they will be expected to get on the front foot and, in their favour, Getafe’s form away from home has been better at the Coliseum so siding with Celta would appear the way to go for this one.
Getafe vs Celta Vigo tip: Double chance – Celta Vigo to win or draw
