Following on from an underwhelming season at club level, Florian Wirtz may well relish performing on the international stage once again. Having completed a mega money move to Liverpool last summer, Wirtz struggled to find his absolute best form at Anfield but, even during the mixed periods of form he suffered from on Merseyside, whenever he returned to the international stage, he remained a key threat for the four-time world champions and, out-wide with license to drift inside, he will again be fundamental to Nagelsmann’s plans.
