THE PREDICTION
Rangers’ grip on the Scottish Premiership is slipping after they suffered a hugely damaging Old Firm defeat at home to Celtic at the weekend. They must put that disappointment behind them and do so quickly as attention turns to this Europa League quarter-final with Sporting Braga. The Scots head to Portugal for this first leg having won five of their last ten in all competitions but they will need to find some consistency in their performances to topple the hosts. Braga have lost just one of their last nine in all competitions and are strong on home soil having lost only two of their last 14 in the Primeira Liga. Rangers have not exactly travelled well in this year’s Europa League having won just one of their five clashes away from home to date and it is difficult to envisage them improving on that record here.
