THE PREDICTION

At the start of this season, Marcelino was in charge of Olympique de Marseille but now he takes his improving and in-form Villarreal side to Stade Velodrome for the first-leg of this UEFA Europa League Round of 16 tie. Gennaro Gattuso was appointed then sacked at Marseille in the meantime and replaced by former Ivory Coast boss, Jean-Louis Gasset, who has started magnificently well with three wins out of three, scoring 12 goals in the process. Both teams enjoyed 5-1 wins at the weekend as Marseille hammered Clermont and Villarreal extended their unbeaten run of form to seven matches in La Liga with a win over Granada. This should be a thrilling contest with both teams scoring appearing very likely.
