THE PREDICTION

Chelsea are no doubt desperate to send outgoing manager Emma Hayes away with a first Women’s Champions League title, but getting past Barcelona over the two-legs couldn’t be a tougher challenge. The reigning champions knocked out Chelsea at this stage of the competition last season, but as was the case back then, don’t expect the hosts to be their free-scoring self against such strong opposition who will not be easy to break down. With Barcelona at home in the first-leg, taking a lead to West London is of paramount importance and over the course of 90 minutes, their attacking players should prove too difficult for this Chelsea backline to contain. Back Barcelona to claim a first-leg victory, but not one of a high margin.

TIP: BARCELONA TO WIN
