THE PREDICTION
Andrea Sottil’s first match in charge of Udinese was always going to be a tough one given that they were opening against the reigning Serie A champions but, despite ultimately losing 4-2, they competed well with the Rossoneri for large portions of the match – twice going into the lead – and there were plenty of positives to take for the new boss. On the surface of things, you can perhaps say the same about Salernitana, who narrowly lost to Roma, but in truth they were fortunate to concede just the one and they looked rather toothless in attack. The visitors narrowly avoided relegation last season and the early signs are that they could be in a similar situation this time around, with another defeat here looking likely.
