TORINO PREVIEW: EFFICIENT TORINO
Last season, Torino managed a top eight finish under the management of Ivan Juric but the football, whilst easy on the eye to an extent, was extremely dull and limited with 36 goals scored and 36 goals conceded in their 38 games throughout the season.
The Piedmont-based club come into this one on the back of a magnificent start to the season in which they begin the weekend sitting at the top-of-the-table with Paolo Vanoli managing to make them a little more efficient. Their most recent Serie A outing saw them entertainingly defeat Hellas Verona by three goals to two last weekend but they did suffer a surprise defeat to Empoli in the cup in midweek.
LAZIO PREVIEW: LEARNING LAZIO
Marco Baroni performed a miracle to keep Hellas Verona in the top-flight last season before departing the club for Lazio over the summer, a surprising decision given that managers of his age and ilk often aren’t given the best and biggest jobs in Italy.
There are signs of improvement in terms of the cohesion of the side but the visitors do come into this one on the back of one win in four matches since the opening day of the season in Serie A after a 2-1 loss at the Artemio Franchi against Fiorentina. In the meantime, the capital city club went to Ukraine and hammered Dynamo Kyiv by three goals to nil to kick off their UEFA Europa League campaign.

PREDICTED XI (3-5-2): Milinkovic-Savic; Walukiewicz, Maripan, Masina; Lazaro, Tameze, Ricci, Ilic, Sosa; Sanabria, Zapata

TORINO VS LAZIO PREDICTION
This is an intriguing one because Torino’s midweek defeat to Empoli has put the cat amongst the pigeons as to whether or not they are seriously good. They were strong last season anyway but appear to have been tweaked enough to be genuine top six or seven contenders. They now face a Lazio side where it is becoming clearer game by game that there is an awful lot of work to do so, with their home advantage, backing Torino looks the way to go for this one.
