Lanlana Tararudee vs Moyuka Uchjima prediction
Lanlana Tararudee begins her Korea Open campaign after a second-round appearance at the US Open. The Thai beat Elvina Kalieva 6-3 6-7 (4) 6-2 in a hard-fought opener before running into Wimbledon champion Linda Noskova, who beat her 6-4 6-2. Tararudee was competitive during the match but failed to generate a break point. She is now ranked at a career high of 61 in the world, and Tararudee is the third seed at the event. She has also won two lower-level titles this year, along with a run to the quarter-finals of the Prague Open on the WTA Tour.
Her first-round opponent is Moyuka Uchijima. She had a tough North American hard court swing. Uchijima won her first match in US Open qualifying, but she was unable to make it through to the main draw following a loss in three sets to Lucie Havlickova. She also lost in the qualifiers of the Cincinnati Open to Harriet Dart.
Tararudee has to be regarded as the clear favourite to advance to the next stage of the tournament.
