THE PREDICTION
Since the formation of the UEFA Nations League, teams across Europe have improved. Whether it be bigger nations having more competitive matches to focus and concentrate on in order to build-up a club-like identity and cohesive style or smaller nations knowing they can form actual attacking patterns of play to try and defeat their supposed similar standard opponents. San Marino, whilst for the most part have built up their own rigid and improved organisation but they come into this on the back of being hammered 10-0 by England, thus really going backwards on all of the above. They now come up against a Lithuania side that come into this on the back of a 1-1 draw at home to Kuwait in mid-November. The Lithuanians finished at the bottom of their 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification group with just one win in seven. For however bad they have been, though, they will still be expected to defeat San Marino and defeat them to nil.
