THE PREDICTION
Schalke’s situation is looking increasingly hopeless. Last Saturday’s 3-0 defeat at home to RB Leipzig left them five points adrift at the bottom of the table and nine points from safety. Since recording their only league win of the season against Hoffenheim last month, the Royal Blues have taken a solitary point from their last five outings and scored just three goals. Union Berlin are not in great form themselves, registering one point from their last four, and they too have been struggling to hit the back of the net in recent weeks. Urs Fischer’s side have only lost once at home in the Bundesliga this season, though, and that was on the opening weekend of the campaign, so expect them to inflict further misery on Schalke.
