THE PREDICTION

Stuttgart and Hoffenheim have identical records from the last seven rounds of Bundesliga fixtures, with three wins, two draws and two defeats each, and both go into this encounter unbeaten in four. Stuttgart’s only two losses in their last 10 home league games have come against the top two, but they have drawn six times at the Mercedes-Benz Arena this season. Hoffenheim claimed an impressive 2-1 success over in-form Wolfsburg last time out but they have only registered back-to-back Bundesliga wins once this season and have won just two of their last 11 away outings, drawing the last two. The reverse fixture ended in a 3-3 draw and with both teams sitting comfortably in mid-table, they would probably settle for a point each again.
