THE PREDICTION
Stuttgart have won just once at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in the league this season but that did come in their most recent home game. However, that was one of only two wins in their last nine Bundesliga matches, with Pellegrino Matarazzo’s side struggling to live up to their early-season form. They are sitting comfortably in tenth place, seven points off the top six but with survival fairly secure, so it could be that complacency is beginning to set in. Opponents Hertha certainly cannot be complacent as they are only outside the bottom three on goal difference following four defeats on the spin. After two tough opening fixtures against Eintracht Frankfurt and Bayern, Pal Dardai will be eyeing his first points since returning as coach. The Berliners have been struggling for goals lately, and given that the hosts have not scored more than twice in a home game this season and have lost six-goal striker Nicolas Gonzalez to injury, this could well be a low-scoring affair.
