THE PREDICTION
These two sides have already met twice this season, with RB Leipzig winning 2-0 in the earlier league fixture and then 3-0 in the cup. In fact, the Red Bulls are unbeaten in the last eight meetings between the two sides. They come into this one on the back of three straight wins in all competitions and looking to keep up the pressure on leaders Bayern. Augsburg, on the other hand, have lost five of their last six games, although the teams below them have been unable to really punish that poor form as Heiko Herrlich’s men still have a five-point cushion from the relegation play-off spot. They have also mustered just four goals during those six games and only the bottom three have scored less overall this term. With Leipzig boasting the best defence and keeping clean sheets in four of their last five outings, there is no reason they cannot make it a hat-tricks of wins to nil against Augsburg this season.
