A late own goal denied Freiburg what would have been a sixth win in seven Bundesliga games at home to Eintracht Frankfurt in midweek. Nevertheless, the result extended their unbeaten run at home to five matches and Christian Streich’s men remain in very good form. Stuttgart suffered only their second away defeat of the campaign at fellow promoted side Arminia Bielefeld in their last match, and their form overall has dipped a bit after a very respectable first few months of the season. There is little between these two sides in terms of their quality or their position in the table, but Freiburg’s better form gives them the edge.
